Our Experience

Established in 2003, Raven Construction is a young and aggressive civil construction contractor based out of Brantford, Ontario. Co-owned by Rick Bolton and Andrew Birtwistle, Raven Construction is focused on establishing and maintaining long-standing relationships with companies and individuals who share our interest in satisfying Owner expectations with respect to HS&E, Quality, Cost and Schedule.

With over fifty (50) years of combined experience within the industrial construction sector, Raven Construction is prepared to take on a wide variety of projects nationwide, be it large or small. Raven Construction's success to date has been driven by teamwork, consistency and continuous improvement. It is our goal on each project to complete our scope in a cost effective manner in accordance with Project quality standards and Owner expectations, while meeting/exceeding time constraints and health, safety and environmental targets. We believe our track record with respect to Owner satisfaction speaks volumes, evident by the repeat work received.

Health, Safety & Environmental

Raven Construction believes that all incidents are avoidable and that no incident should be repeated. It is our goal, as a minimum, to meet or exceed the health & safety and environmental targets set out by our Clients. This is accomplished first and foremost by creating a safe work culture that is enjoyable to work in for all employees; a no-blame culture driven by personal accountability, mutual respect and effective communication.

The personal welfare of our employees is our number one priority and Raven Construction strives to ensure each employee returns home safely to their loved ones every single day. Raven Construction is committed to:

  • Educating project employees as it pertains to corporate and client expectations;
  • Providing trained and competent supervision to oversee site activities;
  • Ensuring specialized tasks are being completed by trained and competent individuals;
  • Ensuring all incidents are reported in a timely manner and are investigated thoroughly without passing judgement too quickly;
  • Ensuring corrective actions identified via incident investigations, formal audits, site inspections, employee feedback etc. are measurable and completed in a timely fashion;
  • Ensuring project employees are recognized for significant achievements as they pertain to project milestones/targets;

Quality Assurance

Raven Construction believes that non-conformances on a project are unnecessary and avoidable and that no single non-conformance should be duplicated. It is our goal, as a minimum, to meet or exceed the quality expectations set forth by our Client.

At Raven Construction, it is understood by all that our reputation hinges directly on the quality of product we leave behind. The pride we show in the work we manage directly reflects the professionalism of our organization and has a considerable impact on securing future work. In establishing this quality work culture, Raven Construction is committed to:

  • Educating project employees as it pertains to corporate and client expectations;
  • Providing trained and competent supervision to oversee site activities;
  • Ensuring required processes and procedures are implemented, as dictated by project specifications, vendor documentation and all applicable codes;
  • Ensuring inspection and testing activities take place as dictated by project specifications, vendor documentation and all applicable codes;
  • Ensuring that adequate documentation is maintained to verify that all required quality standards have been achieved, including those associated with re-work and non-conformance items;
  • Ensuring we continuously seek to improve through lessons learned provided via non-conformance reports, formal audits, site inspections, Client/Employee feedback etc.
